  1. I like this idea, Kate! We went on a “Wild West Road Trip” this summer and covered several states. Check it out on my blog for some cool ideas for your 50 States/ 5 Cities.

  2. Hi Kate,
I like your idea and I would be happy to contribute to your ambitious project. I was also interested in your e-book project, but somehow, it was late by the time I thought of sending an article for submission. My goal is also to visit all the 50 states in US and enjoy the varied experiences that they have to offer.
    Best Wishes :)

  3. Our goal was 50 by 50 … visit all 50 states before we were 50 years old. We had some criteria. We actually have to visit the state, e.g. being in the Atlanta Airport didn’t constitute visiting Georgia. We had to drive somewhere, have a meal, do something in the state. We reached our goal at age 48 before leaving for a world circumnavigation on our sailboat, but we still enjoy road trips in the States whenever we come back.

    1. Oh wow, what an inspiration you are. We’ve always wanted to visit every state, but haven’t got to half of them yet. I share your love of boats, I worked on a cruise ship years ago and I really miss being on the water. There is nothing like sailing into a new city – so exciting, so much promise. I read your story about naming your boat on your blog – such a great name, but I totally want to know the original one now! ;)
